Charlene was born in Oakland, NE to Deloris and Myrl Fleischman, the youngest of five. She graduated from Oakland High School in 1968, married and had three daughters and started her nursing career as an LPN.

In 1986, Charlene married Wayne Nottlemann, moved to West Point where she worked at St. Francis Memorial and went back to college to become a Registered Nurse. The family moved to Lincoln in 1998 and she continued to care for others at Bryan Hospital.

Charlene loved children and loved being a mother and grandmother. She frequently stayed up late playing cards and games with her family and friends. She loved camping, her dogs and being outdoors. Above all else, Charlene was a wonderful cook who loved to feed her family and friends. No one ever went hungry at Charlene’s house.

Preceded in death by her parents Deloris and Myrl, sister Lynn Meyer, niece Jeanette Heinrich, great niece Angela and great nephew Chase.

Survived by siblings Elda (Russell) Stoltz, Ralph (Marlene) Fleischman and Linda (Kenneth) Beckstrom; husband Wayne Nottlemann; daughters Valerie (Robert) Recker, Tracy (Michael) Mestl and Leah Elmquist; step sons Roger (Anne) Nottlemann and Thomas (Jennifer) Nottlemann; and nine grandchildren.
