Obituary for Esther Keller

Esther Keller, died Friday, January 4 2019 in Lincoln Nebraska at CHI Health St Elizabeth. She was 93 years young. Born May 3 1925 in Hazelton North Dakota to Christian and Margaretha (Weikum) Opp. She was a twin and the 8th born of 13 children, 10 brothers and 2 sisters. She moved to Lincoln NE in the 1940’s. She married and divorced Harold R Keller. She also lived in Fremont NE for a short time returning to Lincoln for her remaining years. She worked as a seamstress (SHORTS Manufacturing), factory worker (GARVEY’S) and raised a grandson after retirement from HY GAIN as a punch press operator in 1987. She was a member of the Eagles Women’s Auxiliary #4111. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, sewing, crossword puzzles and BINGO. She had a quick wit and a wonderful sense of humor and always had a smile. She will definitely be missed.

Esther is survived by her children, Linda (Dave) Hanneman of Lincoln, Thomas (Julie) Keller of Lincoln, Joyce Carnes of Lincoln, Cheryl (Gilbert) James of Arizona, Jackie (Carl) Rapp of South Dakota and Susan Fitzgerald of Tennesee.
