Obituary for Michael L Folden

Michael L. Folden, 71, of Lincoln, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019, peacefully at home surrounded by his family. Born to Lowell and Gwendolyn (Burow) Folden on December, 14, 1947, in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Michael was an Engineer for Burlington Northern Railroad. He later became a property manager where he could be a “jack of all trades.” His hobbies included fishing, riding his Harley, working on classic cars, attending car shows and anything World War II related. One of his true joys was driving out in the country looking for wildlife and enjoying the beauty of nature.

He is survived by his wife Nancy (Schuster) Folden and three children, Tim Folden of Mofit, CO; Tara Folden of Lincoln, NE, and Crystal Folden Lapin and Jeffrey Lapin (son-in-law) of Lincoln, NE; granddaughter Maia Lapin of Lincoln, NE; and former spouse Sandra (Sam) Folden. Additional family include his stepchildren, Chris (Selena) Schuster of Kosciusko, MS, and Brian (Chelsea) Schuster of Cozad, NE; and grandchildren: Samantha, Ryan, Matthew, Alex and Shelby; his dear friends and his beloved cats.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
