Allen Ray Scott

September 25, 1970 ~ July 21, 2022 (age 51)

Obituary

Allen Ray Scott was born in Whitefish Montana on Sept. 25, 1970, to Steven Ray Scott and Susan Mae (Perry) Scott. At a very young age his parents moved the family back to Lincoln Nebraska where Allen grew up. He lived in and around the Havelock area for most of his childhood.

Allen was a boy scout. He enjoyed the many activities and outings he and his older brother were able to do with the other members of their troop. Allen had earned several badges in his years as a boy scout.

In his early teens he was able to help his brother Jim work at the concession stand at the ball field in Mahoney Park. He enjoyed hanging around with his friends and watching people play ball while he was there.

His first job was at Misty's restaurant in Havelock as a cook. He prided himself on his ability to "make a perfect steak". He frequently argued with his brother Jim and sister Christine about who was the better chef. The argument continued until the day he passed. Allen continued his cooking career until he was no longer able to do so because of diabetes. He loved working at various places like Taco Inn in Lincoln (Belmont area), Rodeo Keno in Wahoo and Virginia Cafe in Lincoln.

Allen was not exactly a rule follower. He used to sneak out of the house with his older brother Jim often to play video games at the nearby gas station. Occasionally he would let his sister Christine join them to keep her from telling. He enjoyed acting like a tough guy at school, but anyone who really knew him knew he was just a big teddy bear. He loved to tell the story about the time he almost got thrown out of the Ozzy Osbourne concert in the early 90's. He had gotten into some sort of trouble and the security guards were sent to escort him out. He proceeded to run from the guards long enough Ozzy stopped the concert and called out something along the lines of "look at the big mother fucker run".  Allen also loved his herb. 420 was a favorite holiday of his and he celebrated it almost every day.

Allen was married twice. With his first wife Annette Danzek he had a step daughter, Brittany and a daughter, Destiny. With his second wife Melanie Helms he had six step children. James, Amanda, Ashley, Jacob, Noah and Grace.

Allen is preceded in death by his little sister Latisha, his father Steven, his mother Susan and step father Ted.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters Steven J. Aka Jim, Christine, Michael, Tammy and Kimberly.  His children and step children Brittany, Destiny, James, Amanda, Ashley, Jacob, Noah and Grace. His grandchildren Lydia, Ryder, Kyean and Alice. And by many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Allen was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
