Brian L Van Orman was born April 7, 1944, in Sioux Falls, SD, but grew up in Shakopee, Minnesota, the second of four children, and died June 17, 2021 in Lincoln, Ne.
Brian retired as a Captain after 20 years in the US Air Force. He held degrees in meteorology and computer programming and received his Master’s from the Naval Academy in Monterey. He worked at Global Weather for the USAF in Bellevue, NE.
He served in the Vietnam War and was stationed in Bitburg, West Germany; St. Louis, Missouri; Atwater, California; Monterey, California; Bellevue, Nebraska, and Dayton, Ohio. He retired in Ohio at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.
Brian is survived by his wife, Georgia Miller of Lincoln, a son and a daughter and six grandchildren as well as two brothers and one sister. He was preceded in death by both parents.
Brian loved all animals and was an avid Minnesota Vikings Fan.
No services are scheduled, and the cremains will be inurned at the National Cemetery in Omaha, NE
