Dale E. Jackson, 89, of Lincoln, formerly of Aurora, passed away on May 19, 2020 at his home. Born on December 16, 1930 in Nelson, NE to D.A. & Nellie (Grossman) Jackson.

Dale was born in Nelson, NE and started school in a one room school in Angus NE.

He graduated from Edgar High School in 1948 and from Hastings College in 1952.  Following college, Dale served in the Army and was stationed in Germany.  He married Valjean Bohlen in December of 1958 and they had one daughter.   Dale returned to school at the College of Hair Design and was a barber through his working years. In 1977 the family settled in Aurora, NE when Dale purchased a barber shop where he stayed until retirement.  Dale was a lover of Husker football, technology, music, old movies and punny jokes.

Dale was gifted with creativity.  He was an amazing artist and was prolific with oil on canvas.   He enjoyed teaching painting classes for his Aurora friends. In retirement he wrote a children's book which he dedicated to his granddaughters and he dabbled in writing poetry.  Many of his poems spoke of his faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Dale was loved by all who truly knew him.  He was a committed husband, loving father, and adoring grandfather.   He exemplified a gentle, quite spirit.
