Pamela Lynn Workman was born to Robert and Lucille Workman in Burlington, North Carolina on August 3, 1958. Pam grew up in Burlington, NC and graduated high school in 1976.
Pam worked as a medical secretary at Duke University and University of Technology Corporation where she assisted in and obtained patents for Duke and private corporations. She also worked as a medical transcriptionist at Fast Chart.
Pam had two sons, Michael and Jeremy, from her first marriage. On September 5, 1997, Pam married Rick Larabee and became a bonus mom to his four children; Andrew, Andrea, Aaron and Craig. On October 28, 2000, she gave birth to their daughter Jordan.
Although she lived in Georgia and Missouri, Pam lived the majority of her life in North Carolina. In December 2006, Pam, Rick and Jordan moved to Nebraska in order for Rick to spend his final days with family and friends close. In August 2007, Pam and Jordan moved home, to North Carolina, so Pam could care for her father, Robert.
In 2013, Pam and Jordan moved back to Nebraska in order to be closer to the majority of family and for Jordan to finish school.
Pam is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lucille Workman and her husband Rick. She is survived in death by her siblings; Patty (Randy) Warren and Robbie (Erin) Workman. Her children; Michael (Michelle) Vowell, Jeremy Vowell, Jordan Larabee. Stepchildren Andrew Larabee, Andrea (Matt) Cogdill, Aaron (Amy) Larabee and Craig Larabee. Her grandchildren include Mya and Olivia Cogdill, Gage Larabee, Ethan and Emily Larabee, Bentlie Larabee, Addison and Annabella Vowell.
In lieu of flowers the family has a Go Fund Me account set up to help with Jordan's medications. She was still living with Pam and doesn't have health insurance. Pam's biggest concern was for Jordan to be taken care of. The link is below:
