Phillip Sean Kirwan, 55, of Lincoln, passed away on May 30, 2020. He was born on July 20, 1964. On his 5th birthday man landed on the moon. On the day of his passing the launch of SpaceX launched for outer space. Phil grew up in Havelock. He had a passion for photography, cooking, sports, and music. He was uncle Phil to many special nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. He was known as uncle Phil to many and was loved by all.
Phil had many occupations during his life from DJ at local radio station to working for LPS and Waverly Public Schools, and finally for the dining services at UNL East Campus and Abel Hall.
He leaves behind special friends Bill and Eva Abbey, Joe and Angel Abbey, and Rosalie Black and family, Nyla Johnson, Bob Truhlar and Teresa Schuttler; brother, Steve (Jody) Kirwan, many nieces and nephews, great-niece and nephews.
He was preceded in death by parents, Jerry and Maxine Kirwan, sisters, Linda, Virginia; brothers, Lyle, Greg.
Celebration of Life, Sunday, July 19, 2020 from 2-5PM at Nights of Columbus Hall, 6044 South Street. There will be grilling and stories shared just as Phillip would have liked.
