Richard R. Aldag III, 85, of Lincoln, passed away May 15, 2022. He was born on September 11, 1936, in Brooklyn, New York to Richard R. and Grace (Howell) Aldag.
Dick, as he was known by friends and family, and his wife, Antoinette (Iannotti) married in 1964 and had five children: Leslie, Christine, William, Richard IV, and Joseph. Dick retired from General Dynamics in 2001.
Dick passed away, surrounded by family, listening to "What a Wonderful World" sung by his favorite singer, Anne Murray.
Dick is survived by his wife, Antoinette; his daughters Leslie Aldag and Christine (Mike) Niemann; his sons William (Katie) Aldag, Richard (Tricia) Aldag IV, and Joseph (and special friend, Karen) Aldag; his grandchildren Jamie (Adam) Aldag, Sarah, Austin and Sydney Niemann and their father, David Niemann, Mackenzie, William, Grace and Alexa Aldag, Hayden, Aubrey, Annaliese and Richard Aldag V, Andrew and Jameson Aldag and their mother Christy Aldag; his great-grandchildren Nolan and Moira Hall; his brother Robert Aldag; his sister Patricia Perna (Tony); many nieces and nephews.
Dick is preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Grace Aldag; his sisters Grace Cotone and Virginia Chiovaro; and his brothers William Aldag and Wesley Aldag.
Interment service will be held at the Omaha National Cemetery on Monday, May 23, 2022 at 10:00 am. 14250 Schram Road, Omaha, NE.
