It is with heavy hearts that the family of Steven (Scott) Ledgerwood, 49, of Lincoln, NE announce his passing due to a brain aneurysm on September 17, 2020. Scott died at Bryan Health West Medical Center with his family by his side.
Scott was born on July 21, 1971 in Shawnee Mission, Kansas. He grew up playing sports and graduated from Papillion-LaVista High School in 1989. He later attended Southeast Community College in Milford where he received an Electromechanical Technology degree in 1994. He spent his career working and living in the Lincoln area.
Scott enjoyed the outdoors with friends and family including hunting, fishing, and searching the river bottoms for Morrel mushrooms. He had the natural ability to repair anything electronic/mechanical and especially loved tinkering in the garage. His greatest joy was raising his children, Jacob & Joey, along with their older brothers and sisters; Josh Huff, Jonathan Huff, Jaime Huff, Jessica Huff and Jeffrey Huff.
Scott is survived by his parents Glenn and Nancy Ledgerwood of Cody, WY, sons Jacob and Joey Ledgerwood of Lincoln, NE, brother Bryan (Ashley) Ledgerwood and family of Elk Point, SD, sister Lanette (Wes) McGinnis and family of Silver City, IA, sister LeAnn (Cory) Larson and family of Gakona, AK, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A private viewing was held Saturday September 19th, with a celebration of life ceremony to be held at a later date.
